Celebrating our first anniversary!

It’s now one year since Buck took on the administration of the Nationwide Pension Fund. We wanted to mark the occasion by looking at what’s changed over the last year and reminding you of some of the services available to you as a member.

What a difference a year makes!

Buck would like to thank members for their patience during the initial few months, when processing timescales were impacted while the administration established. Over the year, Buck have made lots of enhancements to improve the level of service you receive and help you manage your pension. The website was reviewed to make it more accessible and easier to read, including online versions of our Pensionwide and Annual Review newsletters. We’ve got additional functionality to the secure online Member Portal, and a series of ‘How to’ videos on our website. Take a look at the video library to see more.

On the Portal, you can:

  • Update your contact details, including your email and mobile telephone number
  • View your latest Benefit Statement and use the Benefit Quotations calculator to look at what you could receive, if you haven’t yet taken your pension benefits
  • View your payslips and update your bank details, if you’re receiving a pension
  • Choose to receive our email notifications so you can keep up to date with the latest developments

It’s been great to see a steady increase in the number of you registering for and using the Portal during the year.

Are you using the member portal?

Traditionally, a one-year anniversary is ‘paper’ – but with all the improvements we’ve made to our online services, we’d like to highlight a different P: the Portal. It’s a secure (and paperless!) way to access information about your pension, as well as update your details including your Expression of Wish form, which tells us who you’d like to receive any payments from the Fund when you die. Registering on the Portal is quick and easy, but we’ve put some ‘How to’ guides in our video library in case you need a helping hand.
